Hello! I am a graphic designer based in West Hartford, Connecticut. I believe graphic design should communicate in simple, clean and thought provoking ways and is derived from extensive research and experimentation.

When I'm not working, I enjoy antiquing, trying on clothing, quoting Harry Potter, scouring the internet for inspiration and baking cookies. Thank you for visiting my portfolio website. Please contact me if you would like to collaborate on a project or just say hi!

    Experience

Graphic + Web Designer | Jade Marketing Group | 2009 to Present
Currently, I am responsible for the design of Amethyst Jeans and Ariya Jeans websites, print and web advertisements. I continue to maintain the identity system on all marketing materials as established by the previous designer. I have attended and contributed to Jade's seasonal photo shoots and I design CAD embroidery artwork for denim back pockets.

Graphic Designer | Design Center | University of Connecticut | 2009 to 2010
Design Center is a student run design studio comprised of a selected group of students who provide print and web design to clients on and off campus. For three semesters I maintained relationships with clients and completed work in identity, motion and print design.

Graphic Designer | William Benton Museum of Art | 2008 to 2010
As the Benton's only in house graphic designer, I was responsible for the design of catalogues, labels, title walls for exhibitions as well as advertisements and event signs and mailers for the Store at the Benton. I photographed artwork for use in exhibition catalogues, on the website and in advertisements.

The concept of the MFA Exhibition was based on the ideas of Alvin Toffler's "Futureshock" from 1970. The design is inspired by past vintage design aesthetics and current influences. The radiating lines throughout the brochure visually represent the collision between the past and present.

"A century after Cubism and Futurism, a time when painting was the predominant visual art forum, it is once again emerging as a medium well-suited to reflecting the conditions of our time. However, the glorification of progress is gone, replaced by apocalyptic and unnerving images that resonate with the uncertainty of our times."
